KIDS in Motion is an 8 week program series that focuses on exercise and nutrition for children and adolescents 2nd-8th grade. This program uses the expertise of Operation FIT Kids curriculum from the American Council on Exercise, as well as the guidance and motivation of certified personal trainers. The goal of this program is to educate children and their parents about healthy eating habits and to motivate them to find fun ways to exercise and stay active!
We will start the program with a fitness assessment and goal setting time for each child, as well as a parent meeting to discuss how the family can all be a part of a healthy lifestyle.
The program lasts 2 weeks, with 3 hours each day. Each day will consist of about 90 minutes of nutrition education, and 90 minutes of activity. You can see the outline for each week in the attachments below:
